Tzofim campers have the opportunity for a special experience at camp every day:
Mitzvah Mondays & Tzofim Only Special Events:
At Camp Shalom, we take pride in developing future leaders by teaching the value of Tikkun Olam, meaning repairing the world. Each week, Mitzvah Monday brings this value to life. Some weeks, families donate items for community causes; other weeks, campers participate in hands-on projects at the J to support those in need.
Each Monday Tzofim campers get an extra special opportunity that no one else in camp has. Each Monday we will bring an exciting special feature to camp for the Tzofim campers to experience. Some potential experiences include a petting zoo, video game truck, and silent disco.
Field Trips:
Our oldest campers have the unique opportunity to go on two weekly field trips. Some of the favorites were Miami Marlins game, airboat ride, and Shark Wake Park!
Dress Up Day Wednesdays:
Every Wednesday is our weekly dress-up day! Campers and staff are encouraged to embrace the spirit of camp and dress to impress. Whether it’s a favorite costume, a Disney character, or anything fun and creative, Wednesdays are all about showing it off!
Each Wednesday we have carefully crafted a full day of Chugim (Choice Elective) programming for the campers to create their own adventure!

Special Event Fridays:
In addition to our weekly Shabbat community gathering and celebration every Friday is a Camp Shalom special event! Your camper will get an elevated experience like no other. This summer we are excited to bring back camp favorites like carnival, bear hunt, and gold rush.
