Kesher means “connection"

Entering 2nd and 3rd Grade
Camp is all about connections, making new friends, enjoying favorite activities, and finding moments to connect with yourself in our fast-paced world

We prioritize creating a supportive environment at Camp Shalom. Our goal is to offer a space where young campers can build strong peer connections, all while considering the unique needs of each individual child. The camp schedule is carefully crafted to provide a mix of traditional camp activities and tailored group experiences. Every week, your camper can anticipate the excitement of a fun-filled special event day and a chance to rock the red carpet with themed dress-up days.

Kesher campers have the opportunity for a special experience at camp every day:

Mitzvah Mondays:

At Camp Shalom, we take pride in developing future leaders by teaching the value of Tikkun Olam, meaning repairing the world. Each week, Mitzvah Monday brings this value to life. Some weeks, families donate items for community causes; other weeks, campers participate in hands-on projects at the J to support those in need.

Field Trip or Show Tuesdays:

We warm our 2nd and 3rd graders up to leaving campus for field trips by sending them every other week. Last summer the campers enjoyed their time at Boomers Entertainment Park, Launch Trampoline Park, and Coconut Cove Water Park. When they are on campus they don’t miss out because we bring the field trip fun to them! On show days campers enjoy an exciting show experience. Past favorites include the Silent Disco, Hawaiian Fire Show, Drum Circle, and Animal Show.

Dress Up Day Wednesdays:

Every Wednesday is our weekly dress-up day! Campers and staff are encouraged to embrace the spirit of camp and dress to impress. Whether it’s a favorite costume, a Disney character, or anything fun and creative, Wednesdays are all about showing it off!

Imagine Station Thursdays:

While our older campers are on field trips, younger campers enjoy a special weekly activity designed to spark creativity and imagination. Past favorites include Group Banners, DIY Lava Lamps, Star-Spangled Slime, Treasure Ball, and more!

Special Event Fridays:

In addition to our weekly Shabbat community gathering and celebration every Friday is a Camp Shalom special event! Your camper will get an elevated experience like no other. This summer we are excited to bring back camp favorites like carnival, bear hunt, and gold rush.
