Camp Shalom

Sports Camp

Our newly revamped Sports Camp is built around sports, sportsmanship, and fun. Each week features a dedicated Sport of the Week and a Value of the Week, giving campers the chance to grow both as athletes and teammates. Groups will come together for a weekly Huddle, where they will actively practice and reflect on the week’s value.

To support positive behavior and strong character, Sports Camp will utilize JBucks as our reward system. Counselors will reinforce positive communication, teamwork, emotional control, and respect both on and off the field. Campers will be held accountable for demonstrating sportsmanlike actions, and JBucks will serve as our key reinforcement tool to recognize and reward these positive choices all summer long.

Our Sports Camp is designed so campers can develop athletic skills while still enjoying the recreational aspects of playing the sports they love. Our scheduling philosophy provides a mix of daily sports activities (such as basketball, football, baseball, and soccer) to keep campers active, along with specialty activities like cooking, fishing, bounce house, and swimming to ensure a well-rounded and engaging day.

Each week, campers will participate in skill-building clinics that teach the basic fundamentals, rules, and techniques related to the Sport of the Week. These clinics are intentionally inclusive and encourage participation at all skill levels, helping every camper feel confident and excited to try new sports.
