Alzheimer’s Community Care (ACC) is honored to announce it has been selected as a recipient of the Change Makers Grant through the Honeycomb Teen Philanthropy Program at the Mandel JCC in Palm Beach Gardens.

As part of the program, local teens spent months learning about charitable giving, evaluating community needs, and reviewing nonprofit organizations before selecting ACC from a pool of 10 nonprofit applicants.

The grant will support music therapy at ACC’s Specialized Alzheimer’s Adult Day Centers, helping individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias reconnect with memories, reduce anxiety, and experience meaningful moments with loved ones.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Honeycomb Teen Philanthropy Program for this meaningful investment in our mission,” said David Franklin, President and CEO of ACC. “What makes this gift especially powerful is that it comes from young people who took the time to learn about the needs in our community and chose to make a difference. Their support will help bring the healing power of music to individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, creating moments of connection, comfort, and joy for the families we serve.”

ACC also congratulates Quantum House, which was selected by the Boynton Beach teen cohort as a fellow Honeycomb grant recipient. Together, these grants reflect the impact young philanthropists can have when they choose to lead with compassion and purpose.
