Revamped program builds upon the former ACE program with new courses, flexible registration options and a dedicated participant lounge
BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. The Mandel JCC of the Palm Beaches is proud to announce the launch of the Mandel JCC Academy of Jewish Lifelong Learning, a refreshed version of the adult education program formerly known as ACE.
For years, ACE provided adults in the community with opportunities to continue learning, explore new interests and connect with others. The program was paused during the COVID-19 pandemic and is now returning with a new name, a thoughtfully curated course lineup and an updated experience for participants.
The Academy’s inaugural fall semester will run from October 13 through November 19 at the Mandel JCC’s Boynton Beach campus. Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays and will cover subjects including Jewish history, genealogy, current events, wellness, movement, creative writing and art.
“The Academy builds upon everything our community valued about ACE while creating a fresh experience that reflects what today’s lifelong learners are looking for,” said Michele Scher, Head of Academy. “This is a place where people can continue learning while building meaningful connections with others.”
In addition to its expanded course offerings, the Academy features a newly designed lounge exclusively for participants. The space provides a welcoming place to relax between classes, unwind and connect with fellow learners.
The Academy also offers flexible ways to participate. Guests may purchase an $18 day pass to experience the program for one day or register for the full six-week fall semester for $136. The semester pass allows participants to choose from multiple class options offered throughout each Tuesday and Thursday.
Community members are invited to learn more during a free Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Open House on Thursday, October 1, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Mandel JCC, 8500 Jog Road in Boynton Beach. Guests will have the opportunity to meet instructors, explore the course offerings, enjoy light refreshments and receive assistance with registration.
The Mandel JCC Academy of Jewish Lifelong Learning is open to the entire community. JCC membership is not required.
