 Diabetes Awareness Month

Join Jupiter Medical Center and the Diabetes Coalition of Palm Beach County for an informative morning of interactive diabetes prevention and management education. Free A1C testing, followed by a free cooking demonstration. An A1C test measures what percentage of your hemoglobin is coated with sugar. This is a non-fasting test and results reflect your average blood sugar for the past two to three months. Eating a well-balanced diet with consideration to portion sizes can help manage your diabetes and lower A1C. Advance registration is required. Call (561) 712-5259 to register.

Friends and Family CPR Training

Friends and family CPR teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR using the American Heart Association’s proven practice-while-watching technique. Effective bystander CPR provided immediately after sudden cardiac arrest can double or even triple a victim’s chance of survival.

Parkinson's Patients & Caregivers Support Group 

This group is for anyone living with Parkinson’s disease, including patients, caregivers, spouses, and their loved ones. Attending the group will give you an opportunity to share stories and network with others. This group is provided by the American Parkinson Disease Association South Florida Chapter.

Surf & Turf Fitness 

For people with Parkinson’s disease, exercise is not only healthy, but a vital component to maintaining balance, mobility and daily living activities. This hybrid land & water class is specifically designed for individuals with Parkinson’s, but is also great for those with other movement disorders. Surf days are taught in the pool and turf days are taught in the studio.
