MANDEL JCC TO HOST TWO COMMUNITY CELEBRATIONS FOR HANUKKAH, LOCATIONS IN BOYNTON BEACH & PALM BEACH GARDENS

BOYNTON BEACH AND PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLA. (October 22, 2013) – Continuing a popular annual tradition that welcomes thousands each year to light the Hanukkah menorah, the Mandel JCC of the Palm Beaches will host two community Hanukkah Candle Lighting events on December 1, 2013. The first one will be held at Canyon Town Center Amphitheater in Boynton Beach from 2 to 4 p.m., followed by a second at Downtown at the Gardens in Palm Beach Gardens from 4 to 6 p.m.  The events are free and open to the public.

This year, the vibrant and engaging Miss Emily and her rockin’ band share the joy of Judaism through singing, dancing, and sharing traditional and contemporary Jewish music for all ages. The Hanukkah Candle Lighting events also feature song and blessings led by local rabbis and cantors, additional children’s arts and crafts and more.  Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets.

Temple partners include Temple Shaarei Shalom, Temple Beth Tikvah, Temple B’nai Jacob, Chabad of the Greater Palm Beaches and Temple Torah of West Boynton Beach. The event is presented by GL Homes, with a special thanks to Canyon Town Center. PALM BEACH GARDENS
