MAYORS GAIL CONIGLIO OF PALM BEACH AND JERI MUOIO OF WEST PALM BEACH TO PRESENT AT MANDEL JCC
IN PALM BEACH GARDENS

PALM BEACH GARDENS (October, 2013) – The Mandel JCC in Palm Beach Gardens is launching its new Academy of Continuing Education (ACE) this month featuring dozens of exciting classes, including two lectures during its first week by local city mayors. Palm Beach Mayor Gail Coniglio will speak on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and West Palm Beach Mayor Jeri Muoio will present on Thursday Oct. 24, 2013 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Mayor Coniglio’s lecture, “A Palm Beach Perspective,” will focus on the government and economy of Palm Beach. The Mayor will address what she would like to see in Palm Beach’s future, what problems need to be resolved to have that future, and how it impacts Palm Beach County.  As a resident of Palm Beach for more than 30 years and Mayor since 2011, Coniglio will present the audience with her unique perspective on the Town of Palm Beach.

In “Leading West Palm Beach into the Future,” Mayor Muoio will share her vision for West Palm Beach. She will discuss problems she may face in realizing that vision and how she would like to solve them. Muoio was elected Mayor of the City of West Palm Beach in 2011 and has since fulfilled her pledge to make government more responsive with a focus on customer service.

Both lectures are part of the Mandel JCC Palm Beach Gardens Academy of Continuing Education, which features a dynamic range of educational courses for adults in three, 9-week semesters. Classes are organized in six tracks: Arts, Contemporary Issues, Humanities, Judaic and Israel, Science, and Wellness. Fall classes begin Oct. 22, 2013 and are held at the Mandel JCC on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Dec. 19, 2013. Students can register for the Academy per semester, annually or per class.
