JCC OF THE GREATER PALM BEACHES RENAMED TO MANDEL JCC OF THE PALM BEACHES
PALM BEACH GARDENS (August 02, 2013) – To reflect the ongoing commitment of the Mandel Foundation, the corporate name of the JCC of the Greater Palm Beaches has renamed the Mandel JCC of the Palm Beaches. The nonprofit agency has two locations, Mandel JCC Palm Beach Gardens and Mandel JCC, The Lore & Eric F. Ross Building, Boynton Beach.
The Mandel Foundation donated $5 million to the agency in 2012 toward construction of the Mandel JCC Palm Beach Gardens, which opens August 26, 2013 at 5221 Hood Road. The 16-acre campus features a 56,000-sq. ft. building for a preschool and summer camp, fitness and wellness classes, adult education, cultural arts, bridge, family programs, holiday celebrations, special needs programming and more.
“The Mandel family has been instrumental in working with us to creating vibrant centers of Jewish life from Palm Beach Gardens to Boynton Beach,” said Michelle Wasch Lobovits, executive director of the Mandel JCC of the Palm Beaches. “We are grateful for their commitment as the Palm Beach County Jewish population continues to grow and flourish.”
As part of the new name and opening of its new Palm Beach Gardens location, the JCC is taking steps to enhance and modify communication to members and the broader community. The Mandel JCC is making exciting changes to its email newsletters, as well as launching a new web site.
