PREPARE FOR THE JEWISH NEW YEAR AT A SWEET ‘SPOONFUL OF HONEY’ TASTING EVENT WITH THE MANDEL JCC, AUG. 18 AT TUNIE’S
PALM BEACH GARDENS (July, 2013) – To prepare for Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, the Mandel JCC in Palm Beach Gardens is partnering with Tunie’s Natural Grocery & Vitamin Market in Palm Beach Gardens to host a ‘Spoonful of Honey’ gourmet honey sampling. Sweet honey is a tradition in the Jewish culture, with many dipping challah and apples in the sweet treat as they ask God for a good and sweet New Year. The tasty event will be held August 18, 2013 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Tunie’s, located at 7170 Fairway Drive.
Guests will have the opportunity to sample a variety of natural gourmet honey brands available at Tunie’s while learning basic customs and rituals of Rosh Hashanah from JCC staff.
“We’re encouraging individuals and families to experience Rosh Hashanah in a fun new way, while possibly discovering a new honey for their traditional holiday meal,” said Ken Rotenberg, Mandel JCC director of community relations.
