Art Basel 2014 - Miami Beach
The favorite winter meeting place for the international art world with over 250 of the world’s leading galleries. Dr. Joan Lipton, art historian will accompany us on the bus and present a slide-illustrated discussion about trends and key figures in the modern and contemporary art world; including a brief introduction to Art Basel.

Chihuly at Fairchild Tropical Gardens 
Fairchild Tropical Gardens has been selected by world renowned American artist Dale Chihuly to unveil his most comprehensive garden exhibition to date. Chihuly’s placement of glass sculpture with its dramatic form and bold colors in a botanical garden will amaze you.  This exhibition is not to be missed! We will enjoy a tram tour and lunch with time to explore the garden and shop on your own.

New World Symphony: Behind Scene Tour & Matinee Performance
Take a look behind-the-scenes at the New World Symphony before enjoying a matinee performance by the legendary baritone Thomas Hampson. Boca Raton Museum of Art in Mizner Park
Enjoy a docent led tour of Izhar Patkin: The Wandering Veil.  Patkin is an Israeli-born artist whose spectacular mural-size paintings on tulle fabric will fill the Museum’s main gallery space.  We will lunch together at one of Mizner Park’s restaurants.  There will be time to continue to explore the Museum on your own or spend time visiting the wonderful shops in Mizner Park.

Coral Gables: Old World Glamour and Elegance - Photo Excursion
Tour Biltmore Hotel, historic landmark built in 1926, and experience the magic and beauty of Mediterranean architecture while dining in the lushly landscaped courtyard restaurant. On this trip, you will also tour The Merrick House, childhood home of Coral Gables founder/developer, George Merrick. It was constructed into a historic museum in 1907 and contains many original furnishings. Photographer, David Randell will accompany us on-location and give a PowerPoint presentation.

Norton Museum of Art
Pastures Green:  The British Passion for Landscape is an exhibit of 65 works of art from the National Museum Wales.  Featured artists include Thomas Gainsborough, John Constable, Alfred Sisley and Graham Sutherland.  The exhibit tells the story of British landscape painting from the Industrial Revolution through today.  We will enjoy a docent led tour of the exhibit and lunch in the museum restaurant, Frattelli Lyon.  There will be time to visit the museum and shop on your own.

Wynwood Art District: The Underground World of Graffiti Art
The Art District consists of over 60 galleries, featuring contemporary, traditional fine art, glass art, paintings, sculpture, fine art photography, etc. We will stop at galleries, Wynwood Walls which has brought the world’s greatest artists working in graffiti and street art genre to Miami, and enjoy Latin-influenced cuisine and beautiful art at one of the coolest and visually striking restaurants in Miami.

We are in the planning stages of this journey where our emphasis is on literature, theatre and education. We will be visiting Jewish sites in London, attending lectures and exploring the Judaic elements in William Shakespeare’s plays.
