Ladies of Literature
Books may take us to faraway places and eras, give us a different view on life, make us look inward, make us laugh, make us cry, or provide an escape for a few hours. Join other women who love to read and discuss literature. LOL meets the third Wednesday of the month throughout the year, except for November and then only if the date conflicts with the annual Book Festival luncheon. December’s book is The Girl in the Blue Coat by Monica Hesse; January’s book is Final Call for Happiness by Tamara Avner; and February’s read is The Bridge Ladies by Betsy Lerner.
Sandy Cavanagh is an experienced discussion leader. She has a background in education and taught English in Kings Park, New York, before becoming the Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Curriculum and Instruction in that school district.
