|A child’s early school years are extremely important. These are the formative years during which the foundation for a lifetime of learning begins…a lifetime of emotional, social, physical and academic growth. Since its founding, the Early Childhood Learning Center at the Mandel JCC has maintained a loving and warm atmosphere where every aspect of your child is developed.
A goal of the program is to provide an enriching Jewish environment where children learn about Jewish culture, traditions and holidays. The overall priority of the preschool is to ensure a physically safe, clean, healthy and stimulating learning environment.
The Early Childhood Program puts your child first by addressing the needs of each student. Children are involved in a wide variety of learning activities including art, music, movement, literature, cooking, computers, math, science, holiday celebrations and much more. The Jewish curriculum is integrated throughout the program. The children have fun while exploring and making sense of the world around them. The enriching curriculum is fostered in an educational environment where each child develops his or her own interest, abilities and skills by learning through natural play, as well as hands-on experiences.
The program is based on the philosophy that young children develop best when parent, child and teacher work together as a team. Parents play an integral part in the Early Childhood Program. Parent involvement is always encouraged and included whenever possible. In these critical years this helps your children grow to become secure, enriched individuals with a love of learning.
