Cultural Day Trips
Sit back and let us take coordinate the details and handle the driving! The Mandel JCC will offer a broad array of cultural tours, including full-day bus tours back by popular demand to sights along the coast. During day trips, you’ll learn about Jewish gangsters, travel to Art Basel, discover the oldest synagogue on Miami Beach, and much more during exciting trips planned for 2015-2016 calendar.
Art Basel 2015- Miami Beach
Art Basel Miami presents artwork from across the globe. With over 250 of the world's leading galleries participating, it is the favorite winter meeting place for the international art world. Galleries show work from masters of modern and contemporary art as well as pieces by newly emerging stars. Paintings, sculptures, drawings, instillations, photographs, films, and edition works of the highest quality are displayed in the main exhibition hall. Enjoy exhibits at your leisure. Lunch is on your own.
A pre-visit Art Basel Miami Lecture will be given.

Bonnet House and Gardens & the NSU Art Museum
Spend the morning touring the Bonnet House and Gardens. This historic estate on Fort Lauderdale Beach, was the winter home of artists Frederic Clay Bartlett and Evelyn Fortune Bartlett. A narrated tram tour provides a view of the gardens. After lunch, we will have a docent led tour of the NSU Art Museum.

The Elliot Museum, Gilbert's Bar House of Refuge & The Fish House Art Center
Join us as we travel to beautiful Hutchinson Island to visit the Elliott Museum and the Refuge House at Gilbert's Bar. The museum was built by Harmon Elliot as a tribute to his father, Sterling Elliot, an inventor. Leaving the Elliot, our next stop is the Gilbert's Bar House of Refuge, the only one of ten houses of refuge that still exist. After lunch at the Prawnbroker Grill, we will visit the Fish House Art Center which is "home" to resident artists' studios. You will be able to watch them work and purchase their creations.
