Amy Borkowsky has been saving her answering machine messages for over a decade, producing two volumes of the hit comedy CDs, "Amy's Answering Machine: Messages from Mom" and the book of the same name, garnering rave reviews and a #1 position at amazon.com. Both collections of hilarious, actual messages from Amy's mom tap into a universal problem: mothers who, despite our adult accomplishments, still treat us like babies.
The second volume of her self-produced CD, "Amy's Answering Machine" will again strike a strong chord with anyone who's ever had a mother. Hear Amy’s Mom advise her on how to avoid getting gum disease from kissing...lecture her for having breakfast without toast...and inform Amy of everything from product recalls to how to keep from getting her hand caught in an elevator door.
Amy has also written the first humorous memoir based on a collection of American Express statements–STATEMENTS:
True Tales of Life, Love and Credit Card Bills (Roadside Amusements / Chamberlain Bros. / Penguin Group).
Amy has been interviewed on NPRs "Morning Edition" and on hundreds of other radio shows. She has appeared on the "Today" show, the CBS "Early Show," and "National Enquirer TV", which profiled her as "the comedian who's making a career out of listening to her mother." She has been featured in People, Life, Mademoiselle, Jane and in newspapers including the New York Times, L.A. Times and Chicago Tribune. Amy has performed at the prestigious Montreal "Just for Laughs" Comedy Festival and in New York comedy clubs.
he national radio network, Air America. His jokes have been featured on “Saturday Night Live” and CBS's "Late, Late Show."
